Dr Vondy undertook specialist training in Emergency Medicine in London and was appointed as a consultant in 2014.
As a Specialty Registrar, she completed a PGCert in Healthcare Leadership and Management through the prestigious Darzi Clinical Fellowship programme at the Kings Fund/Manchester Business School, whilst leading Pan-London strategic change management projects based at the London Trauma Office.
She has held several Trust leadership roles, including Deputy Associate Medical Director for Clinical Effectiveness (Research/NICE) and Trust Trauma Clinical Lead. Her quality improvement work in the development of the Chest Injury Pathway was Highly Commended at the HSJ Patient Safety Awards 2020. She commenced in post as Clinical Director of Surgical Specialties in October 2023.
Dr Vondy attained an MBA with distinction and was awarded a prize for the best overall mark. She is a registered chartered manager and member of the Chartered Managers Institute (CMgr MCMI).
Outside of work, she can frequently be found at the athletics track, though not necessarily competing.
