Trainee Nursing Associates (TNA)

Some of our HCAs choose to progress in their career and becoming Nursing Associates via an apprenticeship. Nursing Associates work with the Registered Nurse to deliver patient centred care, training includes essential skills such as, medicine administration, ECGs, catheterisation and wound management.

This two-year apprenticeship is delivered in partnership with the University of Chester and once complete, the Trainee Nursing Associate is a qualified Nursing Associate registered through the Nursing and Midwifery Council (NNC), a Band 4.

HCAs can apply for a TNA apprenticeship after a year in the role.
