Patient and visitor guides

Guides on what to expect if you are coming to hospital as a patient or visitor.

On these pages there are useful resources if you are coming to our hospitals or want to know more about the care we provide. We aim to provide as much information as you need that will help you if you are coming to our hospitals for our care or thinking about choosing us for your treatment

This includes coming for for an appointment (known as an outpatient), to stay overnight (inpatient) or for surgery (sometimes known as elective care) at our hospitals. We have also provided information for people visiting friends and relatives.

The guides help explain what it would be useful for you to bring with you, the staff who might be treating you and what will happen during your stay. Each patient and individual case is different but we aim to make your stay as comfortable and easy for you as possible. It is important to be prepared as possible for your hospital stay and we hope you find the information in these guides useful.
