Dr Bedford has been a consultant at Warrington and Halton Hospitals since 1994. His special interest has been Cystic Fibrosis and he has led the local Paediatric Cystic Fibrosis service since 1994.

He has a keen interest in Medical Education and has provided educational leadership, undertaking important roles in educating junior doctors, such as Educational Supervisor, College Tutor and RCPCH Regional Adviser. His Masters is in Clinical Education.

He has also provide senior medical leadership as a Clinical Lead and Clinical Director for Child Health at Warrington Hospital.

His outside interests include hiking and hill climbing and playing bassoon for the North Cheshire Wind Orchestra and other ensembles.
