Ms Howell obtained her Dental degree from the University of Leeds in 2006. She then gained experience working in general dental practice and in a variety of different hospital posts including Oral and Maxillofacial Surgery before spending a year working as a dentist in Australia. She commenced a 3-year specialist Orthodontic training programme in the West Midlands in 2011 and then a further 2 years of specialist Consultant training in the North West in 2016. She was appointed as a Consultant Orthodontist at Warrington Hospital in 2018.

Ms Howell also works as a Consultant Orthodontist at Liverpool University Dental Hospital where she is a Clinical and Educational Supervisor for dental and orthodontic trainees. She enjoys teaching and organises annual study days for orthodontic trainees and has completed a Postgraduate Certificate in Medical Education. She is an Honorary Clinical Lecturer for the University of Liverpool and is an Examiner for the Royal College of Surgeons of Edinburgh and the Royal College of Physicians and Surgeons of Glasgow.

Ms Howell has a special interest in cases that require multi-disciplinary care involving Restorative Dentistry and Oral and Maxillofacial Surgery.
