Dr Chenggang Li earned his MB BS from Weifang Medical University, MD from Beijing University and PhD in Pathology from the University of Manchester.

He started his training as a diagnostic histopathologist in Manchester Royal Infirmary, rotating to Christie Hospital, Salford Royal Hospital and several other hospitals in Manchester.

He is a general diagnostic histopathologist with special interest in breast, gastrointestinal and lymphoreticular pathology. Dr Li has been a diagnostic histopathologist for almost twenty years and joined the pathology team in Warrington in 2010.

He has published over fifty papers in clinical and academic journals and earned a number of awards through his research in pathology, including “Forbeck Scholar Award” by William Forbeck Research Foundation, South Carolina, “Young Investigator Award” by American Association for Cancer Research, "EVBA fellowship" by European Vascular Biology Association, Geneva, Switzerland.
