Warrington Hospital helps people navigate to Outpatients appointments

In 2021-22 85,000 new outpatient appointments were held at Warrington Hospital and the Trust is making it easier for patients to find their way easily and quickly to the department.

A video produced by Communications staff member Danielle Torkington navigates the corridors of Warrington hospital so patients can become familiar with the route before they arrive.

The short virtual tour starts at the main entrance and guides patients past various shops and facilities to the new welcome desk located in the atrium.

Here welcoming volunteers guide patients around the hospital as well as providing advice, guidance and support to make their visit as stress-free as possible.

The video is accompanied by a leaflet to highlight the range of services on offer at the Outpatients Department, which is available here.

Danielle said: “I have been looking at all available options to help make things easier for patients to get to their appointments in good time and with as little stress as possible, especially for those who are coming to an outpatients appointment for the first time.  We will be promoting the virtual tour through our social media channels as well as on our website and our fantastic volunteers are available to help patients who prefer to just ask the way.”
