LEADERS SAY ‘THANK YOU’ TO WARRINGTON AND HALTON COMMUNITIES

As we continue our combined and shared efforts to overcome the COVID-19 pandemic, we wish to thank the Warrington and Halton communities for their kind words and support for our essential and front-line staff.

We have been humbled by the overwhelming compassion and generosity shown to our teams. From the ceaseless donations for patients and staff, to the display of support from Cheshire Police with its 8pm guard of honour at Warrington hospital, to the children who have drawn rainbows and written poetry, to every one of you that has stood on a doorstep to clap and cheer our key workers - we thank you.

The battle against the pandemic is relentless but your gifts and messages have been uplifting and have strengthened our resolve. As Winston Churchill once remarked 'We make a living by what we get, we make a life by what we give'.

This could never be more true by the kindness and understanding shown by our community. Please take care of yourselves, stay safe (and stay home!)
