General introduction

Ward A9 is a 34 bed, acute general medical ward, with four bays of six patients, one bay of four patients and six cubicles.

The ward is located on the third floor of the Appleton Wing at Warrington Hospital.

How to access this service

Patients usually come directly to the ward following initial assessment and treatment in the Emergency Department or the Acute Medical Unit (AMU/Ward A1).
