District Nursing Service – Warrington
General introduction
Warrington district nurses provide a 24‑hour nursing service, 365 days a year, delivering nursing care and treatments to patients in their own homes, including residential homes.
They support people with short‑term nursing needs, those requiring care following hospital discharge, and patients with long‑term conditions or a terminal illness.
The team also operates treatment rooms for patients who are able to leave their home and where it is clinically appropriate to do so.
District nurses work in partnership with patients, carers, GPs, hospitals, specialist nurses, community matrons, Macmillan nurses, social care teams and other allied health professionals to help people live as independently as possible.
