A graduate of the University of Liverpool, Dr Roberts trained in Merseyside and Melbourne, Australia and was appointed in 2014 as a Consultant Anaesthetist in Warrington & Halton Hospitals NHS Foundation Trust. She is a Fellow of the Royal College of Anaesthetists.  Her clinical interest is in obstetric anaesthesia and she is the Lead for Obstetric Anaesthesia in Warrington Hospital. 

Dr Roberts has a strong interest in medical education and has held the role of Deputy Clinical Station Assessment Lead at the University of Liverpool, School of Medicine since 2018.  She developed her interest in medical education through teaching at a post graduate level, instructing on courses such as Advanced Life Support (ALS) and Advanced Paediatric Life Support (APLS) and organising placements for and assessing undergraduate medical students. She completed her Diploma in Medical Education through the University of Dundee in 2019. 

Dr Roberts was previously the Honorary Secretary (2015-2021) for the Liverpool Society of Anaesthetists, a charity which promotes education in anaesthesia.
