Healthcare support worker industrial action

Industrial action by UNISON healthcare support worker members at our hospitals will take place during week commencing 30 October and 6 November 2023.

The strike action involves band 3 healthcare assistants, midwifery support workers and theatre support workers and will take place as follows: 

• 7am on Thursday 2 November to 8.15am on Saturday 4 November 2023
• 7am on Monday 6 November to 8.15am on Wednesday 8 November 2023.

Advice for patients, carers and members of the public

We will be taking all appropriate actions to minimise any potential impact on our patients during this period of industrial action..

Visiting arrangements will operate as normal and we will do what we can to support visiting outside of these hours, where possible.

Members of our communities can help by keeping the Emergency Department (Accident and Emergency) at Warrington Hospital free for emergencies and using alternative services including GPs, pharmacies and NHS 111 online for non-emergency health advice.
