Warrington and Halton Hospitals are perfectly located in Cheshire in the North West of England. We are located between the thriving cities of Liverpool and Manchester. We are also close to the beautiful rolling Cheshire countryside, the historic city of Chester and North Wales.
Moving to the North West of England
We believe the North West of England is a great place to live and work. Warrington and Halton are both situated within easy reach of two of the UK’s fastest developing and exciting cites; Manchester and Liverpool. Why settle for one when you can be connected to both by fast rail and road transport and then to the rest of the world with Manchester Airport less than 30 minutes down the road.
If a break from the city life is what you require Warrington and Halton are also just a short commute from the wider Cheshire countryside area, known for its natural beauty and offerings of quality, fresh food and drink.
Warrington or Halton are the perfect location for anyone looking to relocate to the UK.
Warrington itself is steeped with history, starting with the Romans developing it as a market town, to a place where Oliver Cromwell resided, through to playing a pivotal part in both the Industrial Revolution and World War II. Today it has a well-established town centre with a leading concert hall and theatre at Parr Hall with an ever growing population of just over 80,000. It also has several public parks and nature reserves including Risley Moss and Paddington Meadows.
Halton, although smaller than Warrington has a lot to offer, from abbeys to science, writers to waterways, Halton offers a more exclusive location to reside.
Halton sits astride the River Mersey to the east of Liverpool and south of Manchester. Runcorn and Widnes are the major towns in the area, with many more picturesque parishes and villages making up the borough.

If you have a young family and wish to make use of the excellent education system then you couldn’t be better placed within the United Kingdom. Within 25 miles of Warrington and Halton there are a large number of Outstanding schools, some of the best in the United Kingdom. With a range to different schools available including Faith schools, All Boys, All Girls and Mixed there isn’t many other areas in the country that provides you with as much choice allowing you to consider what the best decision for your children is.

Either love it or hate it we all need to do it at some point. Warrington and Halton itself have high streets containing all the famous brands, and if shopping really is your thing then on your doorstep you have Cheshire Oakes Designer Outlet, Liverpool One and the very famous Trafford Centre – you’ll be able to shop until you drop in should you so wish.
Warrington is proudly home to the Warrington Wolves, a professional rugby league football club that successfully competes in Super League.
If football is more your thing, then you couldn’t have more choice on your doorstep if you tired. Four giant clubs in Manchester United, Liverpool, Manchester City and Everton are all within easy reach, not to mention a number of smaller clubs.
Warrington and Halton are situated next to three major Motorways, M6, M62 and the M56 so driving anywhere isn’t a problem.
The area is blessed with fantastic public transport links around the areas and if you wish to travel further the train station is located 10 mins walk from Warrington Hospital with direct trains to Manchester and Liverpool passing through very regularly.
