WHH to go wireless
Warrington and Halton hospitals are set to become wireless after being selected as one of only 16 national pilot sites to launch organisation-wide Wifi for patients, visitors and staff to use.
The Trust has received a £200k grant from NHS Digital to commission and complete the work by the end of December 2017. NHS Wifi will provide a secure, stable, and reliable Wifi capability, consistent across all NHS settings. It will allow patients and the public to download health apps, browse the internet and access health and care information.
Kimberley Salmon-Jamieson, chief nurse at Warrington and Halton Hospitalssaid: “The organisation-wide Wifi will improve patient and visitor experiences, allowing them to enjoy using the internet around our sites on their personal devices, which will only add to the comfort and enjoyment of their time here.”
Work will begin shortly and patients and visitors will be notified when they will be able to log on to our Wifi in coming months.
