Join WHH at Disability Awareness Day
Warrington and Halton Hospitals NHS Foundation Trust will be at Walton Gardens on Sunday 16th July supporting Disability Awareness Day.
Looking for a career in healthcare? Want to get involved with fundraising or become a volunteer? Then come and see us on Sunday at Disability Awareness Day at Walton Gardens, 10.00am – 5.00pm.
This year our theme is ‘Your local hospitals – Helping You, Helping Us’. The apprenticeship team, WHH Charity, WHH Volunteers, the Stroke Association and the Engagement team all based at the hospitals, will be on hand to answer any queries you may have on how to be more involved with your local hospitals.
There will also be an opportunity to sign up as a Foundation Member and find out more about standing as a hospital governor in the forthcoming governor elections. If you have used the hospitals, want to know more about what they can offer you and your family, have an interest in improving them or want to know more about how they work then becoming a member of the hospitals will be of interest to you.
The apprenticeship team will be on hand to advise anyone with an interest in a career at WHH about the apprenticeship scheme, what courses are available and how they can apply. Spare time on your hands or want to develop your CV? Come along and chat to WHH Volunteers and register for volunteering opportunities. The WHH Charity has lots of appeals running with fundraising opportunities for you to take part in, pick up a leaflet and support us develop our services.
We will also be joining up with the Stroke Association from Warrington and Halton will be offering free blood pressure checks, provide information and practical advice on all aspects of stroke care.
